Records of a Boston, Mass. law firm composed of Edward D. Sohier and Charles A. Welch. Includes supplemental Welch family business papers; pleadings and evidence collected by Sohier and Welch for cases in which they were counsel, appearing in state and federal courts, 1838-1883. There is also a letter book, 1849-1856, of John P. Welch, clerk of the Fitchburg Railroad, including many letters to Samuel M. Felton; letters and other papers relating to the ship Gibraltar, 1833; and indentures, deeds, and other papers of the Boston and Roxbury Mill Corporation, 1854-1869.
